Miley Ray Cyrus, born Destiny Hope Cyrus, was brought up by Tish Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, and her brothers and sisters in Thompson's Station in Tennessee. Miley is the youngest of five brothers and sisters, two of whom are older and a younger sibling. They named her Miley because she was a great opportunity for their future. Miley was her nickname in childhood because of the jovial nature of Miley. Her father, a Democrat political figure, Ron Cyrus, was her paternal grandfather. Cyrus began her education in Heritage Elementary School in Tennessee. Cyrus together with her parents, relocated to Toronto Canada in 2001 at the age of 8. Her father Billy Ray played a character in the TV show Doc. At this point when Cyrus realized she was interested in learning to play a part too. Her father was the lead in Doc (2001). Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003), where she starred in the role of a lesser-known character as a child, also had a great success. The year 2005 saw Cyrus had been cast in the lead for The Disney series Hannah Montana (2006), which follows a teenager who lives an alternate life of an aspiring pop singer. In this instance, Cyrus' father also acted with the character. The show was a huge success and sold out tours, hit records and deals with merchandise followed. Cyrus gained fame when she was a teenager. In the wake of her breakout role in Hannah Montana (2006), Cyrus made the move into other roles - including the role of Ronnie Miller in The Last Song (2010) and Lola on LOL (2012) with Demi Moore.
